Hold the knife with blade facing out and pull back on the bolster release with your finger. This knife has a positive lockup and a great snap. If you are not familiar with Buffalo Horn, it is generally black with small streaks of white. They are not blemishes. Occasionally we get Buffalo Horn that is all black but this is rare.
