From the Capo Knife Works in Novgorod, Russia comes the best example of Russian automatic knife making yet. The Ladya is made of the best materials that they have available. This automatic knife is a lever lock design with an overall length of 8-1/8" and a blade length 3-3/8". It features a stainless steel hollow ground blade which is razor sharp and with a hardness of HRC 58-64. The Russian, Dagestan Oak handle is of a unique design that enhances the grip. The bolsters and lever are of stainless steel. The blade is etched with the Capo logo. This knife comes with a nylon sheath and full technical documentation (in Russian). The Russians have traditionally manufactured their products to be utilitarian, so the great snap, tight lock up and lack of blade wobble should come as no surprise. This knife is basically the same knife that is issued to the Russian Spetnaz (Special Forces) CLICK HERE FOR RUSSIAN LINK except that for export, it has a better quality wood on the handle. This is not just a collector's knife. It was built to be used.
NOTE: These knives are very tight. The spring is very strong. It requires that some force be exerted on the lever to open the blade and also to close the blade against the spring. The knife's action is stronger than the Mikov and the Microtech. This is not the typical lever lock that you may be used to. Wimps will be disappointed. "You gotta love those Russians"
