TWO WAY OUT THE FRONT AUTOMATIC KNIFE

We have been looking for some time for an affordable, good quality out the front two way automatic knife. Well, we have found them. These new Out The Front (OTF) automatic knives have a 3-5/8" Stainless Steel Blade sharp on both sides. They measure 8-1/2" when fully open. They are two way automatic, in and out. To extend the blade automatically you slide the button forward. To retract the blade automatically, you slide the button back. These Asian produced knives (not Chinese) feature a very fast spring action. They are made of die cast aluminum and are available in 4 different styles and finishes. We classify these knives as Good Value because we have noticed that the the anodized finish pertaining to color and hue on some of the knives is not quite as consistent as it is on the knives costing much more. Mechanically, these knives work perfect and have a unique feature in that the spring is at rest and not fully extended except when the knife is activated. Two way OTF knives are not generally available as production knives. They are usually available only from custom knife makers at prices from $250 to over $400.

NOTE: A two way or dual action OTF is one where the blade is opened and closed automatically with a spring.
