BOKER TOP LOCK
Boker produces the Dietmar Pohl designed Speed Locks and Top Locks in the fine tradition of truly excellent knives. A lightweight aluminum or Delrin-bodied knife with an ultra-sharp, hollow ground blade of 420 stainless steel, the Boker Top Lock opens and closes with the touch of a flush-mounted push button. The safety button keeps the knife from activating in both the open and closed positions. These premium quality automatic knives are renowned the world over for their high quality construction and serviceability. They are the knives carried by the various German police and military agencies. Boker manufactures these knives as a factory automatic called the Speed Lock. They also manufacture the knife in a manual version called the Top Lock. The Top Lock automatic is a conversion done in the U.S.A. Once upon a time, we carried the Top Lock conversions but we discontinued them because of poor quality control in the conversion process. It seemed that everyone was trying their hand at it in basements and garages everywhere. They still are. You can see "junk" conversions at any knife or gun show and at flea markets and swap meets everywhere. Well, a few months ago we found a REAL conversion operation. With a REAL machine shop. Some of the knives require milling. The knives that are turned out are fantastic. We will put them up against the factory Speed Lock ( Click Here) any day. The coil spring used is a more powerful spring than the factory uses and the knife snaps open with authority. The basic specs for these knives are: TOP LOCK: Aluminum Body All knives come with the original packaging and includes the Boker sheath.
