Boker produces the Dietmar Pohl designed Speed Locks and Top Locks in the fine tradition of truly excellent knives. A lightweight aluminum or Delrin-bodied knife with an ultra-sharp, hollow ground blade of 420 stainless steel, the Boker Speed Lock opens and closes with the touch of a flush-mounted push button. The safety button keeps the knife from activating in both the open and closed positions. These premium quality automatic knives are renowned the world over for their high quality construction and serviceability. They are the knives carried by the various German police and military agencies. Boker manufactures these knives as a factory automatic called the Speed Lock. They also manufacture the knife in a manual version called the Top Lock. The Top Lock automatic is a conversion done in the U.S.A. Only if it says Speed Lock on the blade is it a factory made automatic. NOTE: Recently, Bokers made in Argentina have been arriving here with "Speed Lock" on the blade and with a nail nick. They are then converted to automatic. They are NOT German factory automatics. The only sure way to tell now is by the absence of the nail nick on the blade.
The absence of a nail nick on the blade is also an indicator that it is not a converted manual knife.
The Boker Speedlock Limited Edition 1 of 1000 with African Amourette Wood inserts. This is a genuine factory automatic made by Boker in Solingen Germany. The Speed Lock in general is not readily available in the U.S.A. ( Do a web search). What is most often found are Boker Top Locks which are the manual versions of the Speed Lock and converted to automatics in the United States. Only if it says Speed Lock on the blade is it a factory made automatic. Boker only made 1000 of these knives. Each knife is individually numbered (just to the right of the pivot pin as seen in the picture). This knife would easily sell for over $250 if you could find one anywhere else. We only have a few of these knives available and when they are gone we can not get anymore.

The Boker Speedlock II Limited Edition 1 of 300 with one Pfennig insert. Boker only made 300 of these knives in their Solingen plant in Germany. Inset in each handle is a German one Pfennig piece which is no longer used as currency since the introduction of the Euro. Each knife is individually numbered (on the rear of the handle as seen in the picture). This beautiful highly polished knife comes in an aluminum collectors box and will surely be a valued addition to your collection. As always, with limited edition knives, we only have a few and once they are gone, they are gone. This knife would easily sell for over $300 if you could find one anywhere else. Boker Speed Lock Tactical This knife because of the Teflon coating is not marked Speed Lock on the blade but has the Boker Tree Brand logo stamped on the base of the blade. This is a Factory Automatic. This is a a Dupont DelrinŽ Glassfibre bodied factory Speed Lock.
